Wind Turbine Operating Conditions
Wind turbines work outdoors with wide temperature range (-40℃~85℃), heavy dust and salt spray on offshore sites. Multiple lubrication points including pitch bearings, yaw bearings and main bearings require unattended automatic lubrication. Only NLGI 0#~2# grease is allowed; greases with graphite, MoS₂, calcium carbonate or graphene are forbidden to avoid component damage.

Typical System Matching Scheme
- Hub pitch lubrication system: DC24V VFG-M pump with pressure plate oil tank + QXV-XL modular distributors.
- Nacelle yaw & main bearing system: AC-powered VFG-M pump with scraper oil tank + standard QXV distributors.
- Pipeline layout: Steel/copper tubes for fixed sections; high-pressure flexible hoses for rotating hub parts. NPTF standard threads match pump and distributor ports.
System Working Flow
Set lubrication cycle parameters on the pump control panel. The pump pressurizes grease and feeds the QXV distributors. Each pressure rise and release cycle makes distributors output fixed grease to each lubrication point. If low grease level or pipeline blockage occurs, the controller outputs FLL / FPS fault alarm signals to the wind turbine control system.
Maintenance & Safety Instructions
- Daily inspection: Check system pressure, distributor indicator rods and pipe joint leakage.
- Complete overhaul of pump plunger assembly and distributor internal parts every 6–12 months, replace aging seals.
- Do not mix different types of grease; solid lubricant additives are prohibited without manufacturer approval.
- This set of equipment is not certified for explosive hazardous zones. Piston and valve bore are matched lapped pairs, parts cannot be interchanged between units.
